Offered through the Institute for Engaged Learning, the Jaguar Leadership Network (JLN) is a 2-year (Sophomore and Junior) scholarship program that provides selected students who are Indiana residents with opportunities for networking, leadership development, and experiential learning opportunities during their second and third years at IUPUI.  This program provides low-income students with the financial and programmatic support needed to graduate from IUPUI.  Jaguar Leadership Network (UC 220) provides an onboarding experience for the JLN Scholars during their first-year in the program. JLN Scholars will enroll in this course, which will provide them with foundational theories of leadership, social capital, and diversity. The students will assess and reflect upon their own leadership strengths, and interact with campus and community leaders. In their second year, JLN Scholars will participate in an engaged learning experience, which might include an undergraduate research project, an internship, a service learning or civic engagement project, or campus employment.  Students will continue to participate in professional development opportunities to improve their leadership, communication, and social networking skills.
